Field Marshal Montgomery Royal Doulton Toby Character D6908 LIMITED EDITION GIFT

The next Royal Doulton from our collection is this hard to find character toby jug entitled "Field Marshal Montgomery" D6908.  This is a LARGE version standing approximately 7" tall x 7-1/2" wide.   This jug features the famous General Montgomery and is identified on the bottom as Field Marshal Montgomery D6908 a limited edition of just 2500!!    

Bernard Law Montgomery (1887 - 1976), first Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, was referred to familiarly as Monty. The highlight of his long and distinguished military career include the first Allied victory of World War II in North Africa in 1942 and the acceptance of the German surrender at Luneburg Heath in 1945. He was Deputy Supreme Commander of The Allied Powers in Europe from 1951 - 1958.       

As you can see in the pictures it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.  This jug from Royal Doulton would make a fantastic gift or display piece!
