Vintage original 14x22 in. Belgian poster from the 1960's West-German produced horror/sci-fi mystery crime drama, THE INVISIBLE DR. MABUSE, released in 1962 and directed by Harald Reinl. The evil mastermind, Dr. Mabuse (Wolfgang Preiss), seeks Professor Erasmus' (Rudolf Fernau) secret invention, a device that makes one invisible, but a murder in a revue theatre brings the German police and the FBI into the mix. The cast includes Lex Barker, Karin Dor, Siegfried Lowitz, Kurd Pieritz, Walter Bluhm, and Hans Schwarz Jr.

This very color original-release Belgian poster features three photographic scenes from the film, which includes a hanging skeleton for good measure! Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original Belgian poster is in fine- condition. A professionally printed theater imprint stamp was affixed to the designated blank space at the time and portions of it were subsequently removed. The borders exhibit a small area of paper loss on the left corner and random creases and there are small creases along the bottom 3 inches. There is also a tax stamp, which was common for Belgian posters of this period.

As this poster has one horizontal and vertical fold, it can be safely shipped flat in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope.

Since many Americans were not familiar with the name "Dr. Mabuse," this film was also distributed in the US in its dubbed version as The Invisible Horror. The device that Professor Erasmus (Rudolf Fernau) wears on his chest is the same prop that was used in The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960) as a remote control for the blast door in the basement of Hotel Luxor.
