Import from USSR. Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; moderate scuffing and slight discoloration with darker discoloration spots (front/back). Inner-sleeve is plastic. Spine is easy-to-read with some wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Split near center of bottom-edge. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. 1989 pressing. (Not a cut-out.)
Many of the songs on So reflect a more conventional pop-writing style and became radio hits. Peaking within the in the Billboard Hot 100 were: Sledgehammer (No. 1), Big Time (No. 8), and In Your Eyes (No. 26). Other songs still retain Peter Gabriel's dark, brooding sense of experimentalism. As Gabriel explained in 2011: "I'd had my fill of instrumental experimenting for a while, and I wanted to write proper pop songs, albeit on my own terms." Many of the tracks also continued to showcase Gabriel's interest in world music. So is the best-selling album of Gabriel's career and charted at No. 1 in the UK Album Chart, and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in the US. It is certified 3x platinum in the UK, and 5x platinum in the US.
