This is a vintage original 9x12 in. US souvenir book from the teens theatrical production of THE WANDERER - A BIBLICAL DRAMA IN THREE ACTS, by Maurice V. Samuels with music by A. Goetzl. Produced in 1917 by William Elliott, F. Ray Comstock, and Morris Gest, this beautiful souvenir book (which was printed by Lipshitz Press of New York) consists of 38 pages with beautiful black-and-white photographic illustrations from the play as well as a gorgeous interior two-page spread depicting "The Voice of the Prophet Pronounces a Doom Upon Mad Revel of the Idolators in The Wanderer," that was designed by the Weinberg Studio (as well as the front cover). The inside of the back cover includes several small pieces of instrumental music.

This vintage original souvenir book is complete in overall very fine- condition. It is bound with the original string in the center of the spine. There is a 1.25 in. diagonal crease on the top right corner of every page and a 1 in. diagonal crease on the bottom right corner of the front cover with some small creases and scuffing in the left border. The back cover exhibits some small scattered creases from handling over time.
