Duplicated in the superior SP mode, beware of other versions that are not. Pre-viewed for quality and played great except for some quick lines at 1 hour 28 minutes and over the end credits. Box is real dog-eared on the top corners and shelf worn on the bottom edges.
Box cover is a very glossy laminated plastic on foil stock and has nice color. It won't photograph or scan well because of the foil brilliance. And both spines have a light crease down them. Cassette is nice and clean. All formats are Out Of Print making this a rare title.
Based on the book 'the Jewel of the Seven Stars'. This a remake of both the 'Awakening' & 'Blood from the Mummy's Tomb'. A rich old San Francisco man (Lloyd Bochner) goes into a coma after reviving a mummy. His daughter Margaret (Amy Locane) calls on her ex, an art historian named Robert Wyatt (Eric Lutes) to help. The "crazy" Corbeck (Louis Gossett Jr.), who had been in the mummy's tomb as a kid, shows up and they and a group of people are trapped in the mansion with a revived mummy.
Margaret has flashbacks, nightmares and visions and is possessed by Queen Tara. The mummy is barely seen, but it's victims faces are burned up and you get a secret tomb and death by cockroaches. Also with Mark Lindsay-Chapman as the Brit security man, Victoria Tennant as Corbeck's ex, Mary Jo Catlet (from 'Differant Strokes' TV series) as the maid, and a topless blonde.
