During 1885 to 1888 there was no ("Morgan Silver Dollars") produced at the Carson City Minting faculity. Therefore the following information is the most accurate information in relation to the auction and/or purchase of the ("1887 CC Morgan Silver Dollar W/S ("CC") Mintmark") variety taken from the 2021 United States Coin Guide 74th Edition Red Book. This specimen is a recent find and purchase that bears the weak-strike ("CC") Carson City Mintmark in the identifed photographs presented. The Carson City mint-mark is located just due north of ("D") in "DOLLAR" and due south of the ribbon in the wreath (Please reference the red ("CC") mintmark in the photographs") There is however a possible ("O") mint-mark to the immediate right of the ("Weak-strike") Carson City mint-mark, which would make this specimen even more desirable and more rarier. The mint-mark ("CC") is visiable with the aid of a 10x loupe or preferrably with a high power microscope as to bring up the ("CC") mintmark off the planchet's surface (Please reference the photographs that I have used to obtain this result with use of the 10x loupe). The specimen has a gourgeous ("Orange/Gold/Champagne") toning on the observe side. Please take note as to look at the photographs presented within this ("Auction"). This is the best that I can do under the circumstances with obtaining the best quality photographs of the specimen without the use of the high power microscope, but if you require more photographs of the specimen I will honor your request.
