Greek filmmaker Apostolos Tegopoulos directed this peculiar drama, one of the few films to deal with postwar trauma among modern Greek soldiers, although in a very unusual manner. Nikos Xanthopoulos stars as Nikos, who returns from the Korean War a broken man. He went missing in action during the conflict and was presumed dead, but because of his mental condition, he decides to let this misconception stand rather than burden his beloved wife Barbara (Afroditi Grigoriadou) and their young girl with his pain. One day, however, a shocked Barbara bumps into Nikos on the street and confronts him. Nikos denies his identity, claiming that he only happens to resemble her late husband and is not in fact the real Nikos. That's when Barbara decides to bribe the "stranger" into pretending to be Nikos so her father will stop hounding her to remarry. Against his better judgment, Nikos accepts Barbara's offer, thus edging closer to the inevitable moment when the truth about his identity comes out. Theodoros Moridis highlights a familiar cast including Yiorgos Velentzas, Nikitas Platis, and Eleni Zafiriou.....
