Description
Offered here is this Nice Antique China Bowl with Lid, Vented Lid. It is made by Gurrant W. Bennett in Hanley England. It is blue on white with gold accents. I am unsure, however, of exactly what the bowl would have been used for with this type of a vented cover. The bowl and cover are both in very good condition with no chips or real cracks, however, there are a lot of superficial spider cracks in the cover and a lot of crazing in the glaze as well. The china is a blue on white transfer pattern and has gold accents. The gold accents are a bit worn but the pattern is still quite vivid. The bowl is 3" tall with the cover, 2.75" tall at the rim 2.5" deep, 7" in diameter, 4" diameter at the base ring, and the lid cover is slightly concave and measures 7.5" in diameter and about 1" deep. This is a very nice antique Gurrant W. Bennett China Bowl that would make a fabulous addition to any antique blue on white transfer-ware collection.
