Description
Offered here is this fabulous Victorian era James W Tufts Silver Plate footed pedestal serving platform. I am unsure of exactly the age of the piece, but I am assuming that it dates most likely to the mid-to-late 19th Century. It is in very good condition, and has absolutely Exquisite detail. The ribbon detail around the top has come unsoldered in a few places, but is otherwise still in very good condition. This pedestal is pattern number to 2253, but I cannot find any other information about it. The pedestal is 6.5" tall at the top of the ribbon detail, is 5.5" tall at the top platform, is 8" in diameter across the ribbon detail, is 6.25" in diameter across the platform, with a center indent of 3.75" in diameter and is 4.25" in diameter at the base. This is an absolutely fabulous antique Victorian era Silver Plate piece that is a must have for any Victorian collection.
