RED PELARGONIUM ZONAL GERANIUM LIVE PLANT (5) STARTER PREMIUM CUTTINGS

Mother plant is a strong, healthy and beautifully vibrant red flower clustering specimen.

A strong zonal geranium that produces dozens of medium sized multiple clusters when mature. Takes full sun wonderfully with minimal watering.

You will receive five (5) cuttings ranging in a perfect size for propagation of 3 to 5 inches (some may be larger than 5 inches). Most cuttings will have small leaves (2 or 3) per stem, some may not. These are cuttings; they do not have roots.

· Once received, you may plant immediately.
· You do not need a rooting compound; however you can use a common one called Take Root.
· Dunk stem in water (you could crush a Vitamin C tablet and put the powder in a cup of water and then dunk stem) and place in soil.
· Keep the soil moist and in a few weeks new leaves will appear, rooting has taken off.
· Geraniums grow big and fast and will flower in about two to three months, even in winter when temperatures are above 45-50 degrees (when winters are very cold, move plant inside if you want it to flower year round).

Geraniums grow great in Terra Cotta pots. The larger the pot, the larger the plant will grow and keep growing for decades.

Is a geranium an annual or perennial?

Though most geraniums are grown as annuals, they are perennials in Zones 10–11. Bring them indoors to overwinter, if you like, then replant outdoors in spring. (Or they can bloom indoors all year long if they get enough light.)

Geraniums are an excellent choice for sunny beds and borders, tucked in with other annuals and perennials.
Cluster a large pot with many different colors or only a couple of colors that will bring out the character or style of your room or garden.
Grow zonal geraniums in large groups for a burst of color from spring to fall. (check our other items for zonal pink and red geraniums)
Containers are ideal for geraniums, especially in colder climates where they need to be brought in over winter.
Geraniums are perfect for cottage gardens.
