Bred to fit right inside your frig or ice chest this watermelon is only 6-10 pound of bright red sweet fruit. Not only is it the perfect size, but the rind is tough enough to toss this sweet baby on ice and head to the picnic! Klondike Striped Blue Ribbon was Bred by Mr. Porter of California and introduced sometime in the early 1900s. This oblong, striped melon has very sweet crimson red flesh. The rind is thin like many heirloom watermelons, but tough. Klondike is perfect for the home gardener. Blue Ribbon reaches 25-30 pounds. Shows good sunburn resistance. Disease Resistant: Fusarium and Anthracnose. Zones 3-10 TESTED FOR GERMINATION.
