Vintage 1920's Handpainted Nippon Boudoir Jar This sale is for this striking hand painted dresser jar - the large flowers - likely Morning Glories are sculpted in relief. They are painted in bright yellows and blues with a black background. The mark on the base belongs, I believe to this "manufactury" Kiri no Mon Paulownia Flower Mark, belongs to EMPRESS OF JAPAN HAND PAINTED, MADE IN JAPAN vase. This is a Nippon Transitional mark circa 1920s. The jar is mint with no chips or cracks but there is some light wear to the bottom rim .
