This is a vintage Japanese ginger jar with a beautiful floral, peacock and bamboo design with gold trim on the bottom and the finial on the lid. There is also gold in the design. The ginger jar was made In Japan by Yama Ji circa 1960's and is very collectible. It measures approximately 7.5 inches tall by 5 inches wide (at the widest point) by 2.75 inches in diameter at the base by 2-3/8 Inches in diameter at the mouth of the jar. The finial on the lid is covered in gold and really stands out. The jar/urn is in excellent condition without cracks, chips, scratches, or wear.
