US single-weight glossy photograph from the classic silent film drama/romance, THE SON OF THE SHEIK, released in 1926 by United Artists and directed by George FitzmauriceRudolph Valentino stars in his final film appearance due to his untimely death at the age of 31. The son of the Sheik and a beautiful dancing girl fall in love but when he is made to believe that she has betrayed him, he seeks his revenge.

The image features a beautiful close shot of the parents of "The Son of the Sheik," the elder Sheik Ahmed Ben Hassan (Rudolph Valentino) and his beautiful wife, Lady Diana Mayo (Agnes Ayres), as they enjoy a tranquil moment together. Printed for the film's original 1926 US theatrical release, this vintage original photograph is in fine- condition with various crease in the left border; some light ink smudging in the bottom right of the image area; a 3 in. diagonal scratch starting on Miss Ayre's left cheek and extending upwards into her hair with two small scratches in the right background area (all of which are visible when viewing the photo at an angle); a and tiny chip and light signs of wear on the bottom left corner. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is very sharp with fine detail and great contrast.
