Note: this is a 10 and 12 meter, not 11 meter (Citizens Band) radio. Like all other 10 meter and 12 meter radios, this is not a CB.

  • 10 and 12 meter bands.
  • 150 watts PEP output.
  • 16 programmable/erasable frequencies.
  • Programmable repeater split.
  • Large frequency display with dimmer.
  • New backlit display.
  • Dual panel meters.
  • Improved receiver design for increased sensitivity and image rejections.
  • Double FET balanced mixer for improved receiver intermodulation.
  • Receiver clarifier ( plus/minus 0.5kHz).
  • Variable output power control.
  • Noise blanker/ANL circuitry.
  • Frequency selector lockout.
  • Active frequency scanner.
  • Continuous duty built-in AC power supply.

All 10 meter radios are tested and tuned before being boxed at the factory. So we know they work. But they work on the 10 meter band, not on the 11 meter band. We stress this point because many people buy a 10 meter radio and then return it all scratched up because it's not a CB. We stand behind any purchase with an exchange policy, but do charge a restocking fee for "Buyer's Remorse" or just not paying attention to the listing.

This is NOT a Citizens Band (CB) radio, because it operates on the 10 and 12 meter bands not the 11 meter band.

What does "10 Meter" mean, and why is a 10 meter radio NOT a CB radio?

By 10 meters, we mean the actual physical length of the signal wave. It's called a band. Each band contains certain frequencies, because wavelength and frequency are inversely related. Picture a series of ocean waves; the shorter the length of each wave, the more frequently you will see the peaks of those waves.

Radio transmission has always required an FCC license. In the 1970s, the FCC set aside a band for citizens, and that was the 11 meter band. It's called the Citizens Band, thus CB. We always capitalize CB because it is an abbreviation (for Citizens Band, which is a proper name as well). This band is limited to 4 watts. Because of the low power, many truckers buy a much higher output radio on some other band and have the tuning circuit modified for 11 meter operation.

This is not a CB. This is not a CB.  This is not a CB.
