The Cartier deployant buckle was patented in 1910, and remains a distinctive symbol of Cartier. Cartier also guarantees water resistance up to 100 feet for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. However, because of the age of this watch (over 14 years old) I cannot guarantee its water resistance. It also contains the certificate of authenticity, and was originally bought through Mayors Jewelers in 2003.
