The Troika nesting doll is a beautiful symbol of Old Russia with this Troika, or three-horse sleigh, taking the riders on a cold night ride. The first sled glides past a Russian Orthodox church with onion style domes. A gorgeous gift for Christmas or any occasion.

The doll is entirely hand painted at the Golden Cockerel workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia. The artists painstakingly hand paint every detail, beginning with backgrounds and moving to the finer elements that require a brush of very select Siberian squirrel hair. Then the dolls have multiple layers of non-toxic water-based lacquer applied.
