Lugol's Solution is used for a wide variety of applications.  
When used on humans, it's applications include being used as an antiseptic, topical disinfectant, and promoting a healthy thyroid.  It is also used as an emergency water disinfectant. Lugol's Solution can also be taken to cure iodine deficiency and to keep the thyroid from absorbing iodine-131, a highly radioactive isotope of iodine common in nuclear fallout.   
Lugol's Solution has many useful applications in aquariums as well.  These include improving coloration and preventing bleaching of all corals due to changes in light intensity, while increasing coral polyp expansion.  When used as a dip for stony and soft corals, Lugol’s will help rid the animals of unwanted parasites and harmful bacteria. 
Keep out of eyes.   
Follow all rules and guidelines for topical use, dietary use and water disinfection.   
This product is produced by an experienced professional chemical biologist.   
Directions: 
For Aquarium Use:  Add 1 drop per 25 gallons aquarium capacity weekly to an area of high water flow. Can also be diluted in one cup of aquarium water and dosed directly over xenia colonies or soft corals. Do not mix with other supplements outside the aquarium.  To use as a dip for corals, in a separate bucket add 40 drops Lugol`s Solution to 1 gallon aquarium water, and submerge coral for 10-15 minutes.   
For water purification: Use 1-4 drops of 2% Lugol's per liter of water depending on how contaminated the water appears to be and wait 30 minutes @ 50 degrees Fahrenheit for the iodine to work.  Can be added to tap water before drinking to allow the body to remove toxic halogens and heavy metals.    
For cuts or wounds: Apply enough 2% Lugol's Solution to completely cover effected area. 
2% Lugol's Solution will not sting or burn too much because it is made with pure reverse osmosis water with no alcohol.  
Iodine speeds the healing process and can even cause scars to disappear.   
This product has not been tested or approved by the FDA, therefore no claims as to its effectiveness can legally be made.   
Ingredients: pure elemental iodine, potassium iodide and reverse osmosis water. 
Each drop (approximately .05 milliliters) contains about 1 milligrams of iodine and 2 milligrams of potassium iodide.  Total iodine per drop is approximately 2.5mg.
