Vintage original 8x10 in. U.S. single-weight glossy photograph from the classic 1950's drama/romance, A PLACE IN THE SUN, released in 1951 by Paramount Pictures and directed by George Stevens. A poor boy (Montgomery Clift) gets a job working for his rich uncle and ends up falling in love with two women (Elizabeth Taylor, Shelley Winters).

The image depicts an interior medium shot of handsome George Eastman (Montgomery Clift) as he stands in a hallway in front of the door to a registrar's office with Alice Tripp (Shelley Winters) as she tops in hesitation as he looks at the word "marriages" while she looks at him to see whether he will follow her through the doorway or not. Credits from the film are depicted within the bottom border. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original photograph is in near-fine condition with four sets of staple holes in the top border, some of which are in the upper background area; three pinholes in the bottom right corner of the image area and four in the bottom left corner; and a 1.5 in. diagonal crease on the bottom left corner within the borders only. The image quality is razor-sharp with fine detail and nice rich contrast.
