Middle obelisk with pietra dura inlaid floral splay inlay on square pedestal representing pansies with Florentine marble and malachite foliage, remaining graduating obelisks; two with white pansies and two with white jasmine each with alternating Florentine marble and malachite foliage inlaid pedestals. Obelisks supported on a triple graduating square base. Obelisks date back to early Egypt, typically used in front of a monument, which was not only brought beauty, but believe to bring protection. Italy has the most ancient Egyptian obelisks in the world, during the Grand Tour they used small obelisks for souvenirs. Rare to find a set of five of this kind.
