I googled it and found one similar that said it was from an Old Soviet USSR DDR/GDR Soldier Uniform

Has the state emblem of the hammer and compasses inside a wreath of wheat ears on the front

Back is inscribed: AUF SOZIALISTISCHE ART ZU LEBEN, ERFONDERT AUF SOZIALISTICHE ART ZU ARBEITN - I put it into a translator and it cam back as On Socialist Way of Life Requires to Socialist Way to Work

Pin is Appox 1-3/4" long

I don't know the age of it

Used - a really neat piece and in very good condition
