New and Improved - MyCommunication Board 3.0

MyCommunication Board was created by me, a Mom to a daughter who has autism and is non verbal.  Between my many years experience in the IT world and my love of photography, I put both talents to work to create an affordable, easy to use application that enables parents to create communication boards for their children with speech and language delays.

MyCommunication Board ™ is a Windows ™ based application that is used to create communication boards, schedules, and symbols to aid those individuals with speech and language delays.  MyCommunication Board ™ may be used with any picture or image file with the following types, bmp, wmf, jpg, png, or gif.

MyCommunication Board runs on Windows Vista, 7,  8 , 8.1, 10, and 11  operating systems.

MyCommunication Board ™ has the following features:

Includes Angel Speaks Symbols CD containing over three thousand images, mostlly actual photographs!

Borders – print them, don’t print them, choose your own border width and your own border color

Text – use the image name, type in your own, pick your own font style, size, and color, and print text on the top or bottom

Print the completed template.  Print Preview allows you to view the board before printing.

Preformatted templates make the creation of communication boards quick and easy.  The following formats are available:

Nine templates which, we call Perfect  Fit,  to be used with various albums and  scrapbooks

• MiniBook layout 24 images 1 25 x 1.25 inches (2 pages 4 X 5 inches)
• Photo album – twelve images 2 x 2 inches (2 pages, six images per page, fits 4x6 photo albums)

• Trading Cards/Baseball cards – nine images 2.5 x 3.5
• Business cards - ten images 2 x 3.5
• Business cards – twenty images 2 x 1.75
• Scrapbook Page 6 x 6 – sixteen images 1.5 x 1.5

One specialty template

• First/Then Boards - two images, one green, one red.

Convert Template

This feature will allow you to take your existing templates (or those delivered with MyCommunication Board) and format them to a new template.  This feature is useful for taking your current communication book and creating a new book, with a different layout.

Color Code Parts of Speech

This feature allows you to assign a specific color to a specific part of speech (nouns, pronouns, etc) and this color will be the background color of the images/symbols on the communication boards.  This is useful in helping your prompt the individual using the communication boards in selecting an image/symbol.
