The Flight of Big Horse by Sven Hedin

E.P. Dutton Co., First U.S. Edition, 1936

Condition: Very Good-

The Swedish author gives a first-hand account of the bloody war which made a desert of Sinkiang, China, from 1931 to 1934.  The chief character is the young Tungan general Ma Chung-yin, who was called "Big Horse".  248 pages, plus dozens of photographs and map endpapers.  No dust jacket.  Bumped and somewhat worn cover corners, modest spine and edge wear, foxing and some wear on endpapers, page margins have some darkening, some soiling on page edges.  A valuable resource for those interested in modern Chinese history.
