Up for sale is this Limited Edition, Hand Signed and Numbered gorgeous Heavily Embellished Giclee on Stretched Canvas entitled  "My Beloved-By the Lake" by Howard Behrens.    

 Heavily embellished, signed and limited in number. It's indistinguishable from the original oil. 

This piece is in excellent condition

This particular piece is from the 2010 "Five Carat Diamond" collection and was a special edition for an Art Connoisseur cruise. The Five Carat Diamond Collection is considered by far the top and highest value of any of the embellished Giclees. Behrens was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1933. He grew up near Washington D.C. and began drawing at age seventeen after being confined to bed following a sledding accident. His formal education in art was at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a Masters degree in painting and sculpture.

From 1964 to 1981, Behrens worked for the United States Government Printing Office, serving as Chief Artist for ten years. During the 17 years he worked for the government, he devoted his free time to painting. Weekends, nights, vacation days, if he wasn't painting, he was traveling extensively. From the sun-drenched coastal areas of the United States to the lush, tropical areas of the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico, to the seductive warmth of the Italian Riviera, southern France and the Mediterranean, Behrens finds his inspiration in the beauty of the places he travels. Although he's best known for his dramatic use of vivid colors, that capture the brilliance of direct sunlight on canvas.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Howard Behrens on April 14, 2014.  As an artist, he touched the hearts and souls of countless collectors who cherished his extraordinary talent.

This piece was created in 1996 and the location is the beach in the Cayman Islands.  The woman in the picture is Howard Behren's wife, Judy Behrens.  Howard and Judy met in 1995.  At the time of creation, Judy and Howard were dating and not married yet.  You'll notice some sand on the bottom of Judy's foot; Judy asked Howard to leave the sand on the bottom of her foot because she said she was "leaving her past behind and walking away with Howard".  They wed a few years later.
