The color on the package says BLEI in German, which translates to Lead in English. Admittedly, I ran into a small batch of hosiery from Germany and I'm not completely aware with some of the colors they use. Although this translates to the word Lead in the USA, this just does not look like a true Lead in color and it is difficult to tell 100% through the clear plastic protector on the front of the package. It looks like it could be a light black, a brown color or maybe it is colored as lead and I just cannot tell. Regardless, please make sure you are happy with any of these colors prior to purchase and you will be just fine with these upon arrival to you.
