Here is a lot of 3 (three) gorgeous vintage 1950's, signed, oriental paper accordion fans.
Elaborate and artistic designs of various flowers, shrubs, birds and butterflies all supported with hand fitted bamboo sticks. (detailed and brief history of Chinese painting and fans at the end of this listing).

Condition:
Pre-Owned. Brought to US by my uncles in early 1950's. It is in very good vintage condition with no rips or tears. CAUTION: Use GREAT care when opening and closing these fans. The age and material makeup of these fans make them VERY fragile, delicate and easily damaged. Chinese traditional painting, ink and color on paper laid to silk. Hand painted in detail often depicting birds or butterflies amongst flowers and shrubs. Signed on the left and followed with red signature seals.

They are also thought to attract good luck to the home and represent a life of ease. They are often used for offerings at altars.
