Large Centerpiece or Console Bowl

Elaborate Etching and Gold Decoration

Here is a large black glass centerpiece bowl or console bowl. It was made by the Central Glass Works of Wheeling West Virginia about 1935. It is their No. 2014 bowl with their Deoration number 62.
The bowl is 6-toed and has a wide flared rim. The etched decoration is elaborate. The middle design shield motif has gold encrusted highlights.

Size: It is about 12.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches high.

Condition: No chips or cracks. Some light wear to gold edge. The gold design motif has various shadings to the gold. Some of the shading appears to be deliberate by the manufacturer
