For your consideration is a vintage ornate with flowers silver plate covered serving dish.  This dish has the lid and 3 footed bottom, no insert, however your bowl will work just as well.  This one has the heavy design on the edges with flowers and the detailed finial on top.  This one measures 10 1/2" in diameter.  The hole is 8" in diameter and approximately 2 1/4" deep.  With the lid on it is almost 6 1/4" tall.  I did a quick clean job on it and the heavy tarnish came off, however it does need polishing as you can see in the photos. It is smooth to the touch so I do not believe it is pitted, just needs more polishing.  Very pretty ornate serving dish for your table.
