Back of plate says: In 1885, the congregation of the Zion Lutheran Church was formed & first met in a school house in rural Kingman County Kansas. In 1900, the congregation moved to a church which they built in rural Summer County. That country church was moved to Argonia in 1930, where the congregation met until 1948 when the present church was built and dedicated at Main and Cherry Streets. In May, 1985, Rev. Charles Dickinson and congregation celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Zion Lutheran Church.
