This is truly on of those rare finds that I was able to have the pleasure of presenting. Made in France this is a souvenir piece from 1918. On the front as you see in the picture is Zur Erinnnerung 1918 (in memory). The backside is the Castle of Talmont witht the name R. Kohen St. Louis on the side.
This great item even has the original matchbox with made in Estonia Imatra (safety matches), empty box, and there is not much left of the bottom of inner box, but the main paper box is all intact with the striker material on the side.
All this has traveled to Lemoore, Calif. where it was found in a old desk. I think this is a great story for this wonderful item.
