Having been born in the Binghamton area, I looked up information on this company;
my mother remembers having to mix the peanut butter after it came from the store when she was a girl
"A household name in the Triple Cities in the first half of this century was the Cream Dove Manufacturing Company. The company was located on Alice St. on the city’s East side. While in operation, the company produced a variety of products. The best known product of the company was its peanut butter. The peanut butter had to be stirred by the buyers before it could be eaten to make sure that the mixture was smooth. While the company has not been in operation for half a century, many residents can still remember the taste of that product."
