Synopsis: From their space station base the Space Patrol protects us from outer space aliens.  When trouble is encountered Captain Ultra responds accompanied by Kikero Seijin Joe, Robot Hack, and the space cadet  Akane.

Background: Captain Ultra aired from April 16 to September 24 of that year. Only 24 total episodes were produced. The series was meant to serve as a filler series after Ultraman ended as Tsuburaya Productions prepared for production of their next Ultra series.  Over the years, the series has become a bit of a cult classic and is among the more memorable Tokusatsu produced shows of the era. Now recognized as a cornerstone of Toei's projects in that year along with Giant Robo best known as Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot where comparison to this series are made along with Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation series Captain Scarlet.
