APPLICATIONS

There are quite a few people who try to use these modules to upgrade their vehicle to a different feature set.  We make no guarantees that can be done. In fact, we can safely say it likely can't be done. We had 4 people buy from a listing for a similar part. 3 of the 4 tried it on a vehicle that wasn't listed. Guess what? It didn't work in any of those 3 'custom' applications. Yes, there's a reason Ford has different numbers for different parts in different vehicles...
Having said that, if you install this in place of a listed number (from this ad), have the programming performed at a Ford dealership, and it doesn't work for you, please drop us an email. We'll take your VIN and the name of the dealership and give them a call. If the service manager confirms your application and previous number match our ad and confirms they were unable to get the part to work after programming, we'll work with you. We're good people. We're not selling these "For parts or not working" because we know there's something wrong with them. Check our feedback. That's not the kind of business we are. We just can't have any more people trying ill-advised experiments and then leaving us on the hook for them. It's bad for our rating and it's bad for the bottom line. (Plus, we believe in accountability. If you make a mistake, don't read the ad, or try it for something different, that was your decision and was clearly against our advice.)
This was a possible option for many vehicles, according to the internet. However, we make no guarantees what you read on the internet is accurate. Ford made different versions for the different years and models. We strongly recommend you check your Ford engineering number. If you are not replacing the exact same number, please don't buy it! Or at least don't try to say we didn't tell you...

We don't give extensive details on the features of this module because, if you're ordering it to replace the same part number, you should be familiar with the features. In other words, if you have this part number now, you know what it should do (after programming, possibly.) We advise you to check with your dealer if you have any concerns about features, applications or special installation considerations. 

You may need to have the dealer perform programming in order for some features to work properly. We have no control over this. It is Ford's doing, not ours. Please plan on having the programming done.
