Vintage Real Photo Postcard. The caption reads, "Looking toward Miami, Florida from the top of Continental Divide. Elevation 6030 on Hy. 80, Bisbee, Arizona." One can only assume the reference to Miami, Florida was in jest, or the caption-writer is geographically ignorant. Miami is 2,182 miles to the east. Divided back, EKC stampbox, unused. Condition: Excellent condition. Comments: Bisbee is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, 92 miles southeast of Tucson. According to the 2010 census, the population of the city was 5,575. Bisbee was founded as a copper, gold, and silver mining town in 1880, and named in honor of Judge DeWitt Bisbee, one of the financial backers of the adjacent Copper Queen Mine. In 1929, the county seat was moved from Tombstone to Bisbee, where it remains.
