ONE MORE RIVER by John Galsworthy
Charles Scribner's Sons, 1933
First U.S. Edition, early printing
Condition: Very Good+

John Galsworthy, British author of THE FORSYTE SAGA, died in 1933, the year this, his last novel, was published.(It was originally titled OVER THE RIVER; ONE MORE RIVER was also the title used for James Whale's 1934 film version.) Though lacking the dust jacket, this copy has an interesting art deco front cover. This is a very early printing, as the date on the title page matches the copyright date, though there is no "First" designation on the copyright page. One bumped cover corner, very slight wear at the spine foot, two small stains on the back cover, a couple of page corner creases, moderate page toning, small writing on the ffep (dated 1933).
