Circular Round Shape
This is an unusual vintage signed Coro silver pewter toned metal brooch or pin with a Southwestern, Aztec or Mexican flair. The design is of a coiled snake or serpent in the center and six birds circling around it. The back has a darker hammered pattern and is stamped on the back of the head “Coro”. The Coro script signature was used from 1919 to 1979. It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter from bird tail to bird tail.
It is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It could use a good polishing, but many people prefer the patina that comes with age, so I will leave any polishing up to you. I think it looks great the way it is. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe. It has a secure roll over safety clasp on the back.
This would make a great addition to your collection of vintage Coro jewelry. It is a perfect accessory for that Southwestern clothing style and would look great on a little black dress or with your favorite pair of jeans. This would also be nice on a man's jacket or cowboy hat. A great piece no matter how you use it.
