Vintage Milk Bottle

A Classic Collectible

Do you remember the heavy old milk bottles that the "milk man" used to deliver right to our homes?

Do you remember how the cream would rise to the top and we had to shake the bottle before pouring the milk over our morning cereal?

Do you remember how the bottles used to freeze in the winter and the caps would pop right off the top?

 

Well...here is one of those bottles...and now it's filled with all those wonderful memories!

 

This one is a quart bottle...marked at the bottom ONE QUART LIQUID and REC. CAL. on one side and SEALED 52 L-C on the other side.

 

I purchased this piece at an antique show in Minnesota sometime in the early 1980s....simply because it made me smile. I hope it did the same for you as well...
