Up for your consideration is a very hard to find temple jar signed by the Fenton artist. The original Fenton Label is obscuring the signature. This temple jar vase is referred to in Fenton books as Down by the Station. This piece depicts railroad train station with the railroad tracks running in front and a 1930s car parked at the back of the station. This is one of the few Fenton scenic designs from this time period. This scene give the viewer a uncanny cold winters night all handpainted on a background of Cameo Satin Glass. These were only made in 1982-1983. It is listed in John Walk's collectors book "Fenton Glass Compendium 1970-1985 on page 80. This is a fabulous find and will be cherished always. Line number is 7488 (TT) and numbered inside the lid GS 328.
