“Dime a Dance,” one of the most famous Suspense broadcast, starred
Lucille Ball. She plays a taxi dancer Ginger Allen, who becomes involved
in the search for a murderer. As the episode opens, she arrives at work
expecting to see her friend, Julie, but she isn’t there. No one knows
where Julie is or why she isn’t at work. Later, Ginger is told that
Julie has been murdered and the police want her help. “Dime a Dance” is
in this set. Volume 3 includes 20 original network broadcast, digitally
remastered and restored. 10 – CD Set.
“Suspense” remains a true radio classic — and one for which there are
very few equals. It’s impressive just how well these “well calculated
tales” still stand up to critical ears.
