The album contains remixes from her first two studio albums: On the 6 (1999) and J.Lo (2001). Featured artists on J to tha L–O! The Remixes included P. Diddy, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Nas and Ashanti. The album includes dance and hip hop remixes of past singles. The album was her second to feature a Parental Advisory warning.
