In 1989, Fisher Price expanded its Fun with Food series by licensing a number of McDonald's play sets. Available only from 1989-1990, these play sets faithfully reproduced some of McDonald's most popular food items along with their readily identifiable containers. Designed for 3-7 year old children, these sets enabled children to engage in innumerable dramatic role-playing opportunities (e.g. by "playing McDonald's" or pretending they were taking someone's order or eating at another restaurant).

This particular set showcased some of McDonald's Breakfast items. The set consisted of the following breakfast mainstays:

1 RARE McDonald's Hotcake Syrup container (MINT);

2 VHTF McDonald's pancakes lathered in pretend syrup (MINT);

2 HTF helpings of McDonald's scrambled eggs (MINT);

1 VHTF McDonald's sausage patty (MINT);

1 HTF Fisher Price white fork (MINT); and

1 VHTF McDonald's yellow storage container with McDonald's Hotcakes and Sausage Litho (MINT)

The box, while it displays some minor edge wear on the corners and sides, a few minor tears on the top flap, and and some residual tape, it is still in remarkable condition. All in all, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being perfect, I would award this box an 8.0/10.0.  The blue plastic insert has not fared as well as the box.  It exhibits multiple tears, smashed corners etc.  Despite its compromised appearance, it still hold the components in place while on display.

These vintage Fisher Price McDonald's play sets are getting almost impossible to find in this condition (NEAR MINT in box). Being a former Speech-Language Pathologist, I can attest to the value of these materials in cultivating a child's use of eye contact, listening to, comprehending, and remembering their "customer's order," taking conversational turns with their customer, and repairing conversational breakdowns. "Scaffolding" language around predictable "scripts" helps the child become more confident and adept in using language and can be transferred to other everyday scenarios.

I primarily utilize Fed Ex Home Delivery for items exceeding 5 lbs. in weight, measuring greater than 12 inches in any dimension, or traveling longer distances. I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.

Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.

I’m more than willing to combine multiple purchases into one box whenever it is safe to do so to decrease your shipping costs. Please combine all of your purchases in your cart before checking out.  If you pay for these items separately, I get charged multiple transaction fees by PayPal plus you get over-charged on your shipping. Of course, I will refund you any amount over $1.00 that you've overpaid on shipping. However, it's easier on both of us if you wait until I can send you the correct amount.

I’m more than happy to ship selected play sets to Canada. Remember that shipping to Canada can be quite expensive so please contact me for a shipping quote before you purchase an item. I will attempt to find the cheapest shipping rate possible. Canadian customers will be responsible for any brokerage fees, Custom’s duties, or VAT’s imposed by your government. I am not responsible for these charges. Insurance is required for all international shipments.

Last, but not least, I offer a 10% discount for orders totaling $125.00 or more.
