Springbok - Dismounted - Cavalry - Frederic Remington - 1973 - 500 Piece - # PZL4029 - HTF
This is one of many well known Frederic Remington paintings of the Old West. The details are stunning!
It was painted in 1890 and the original hangs in The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Mass.
"Eat dust! Fight hard! Pray!"
This was the code of the cavalryman.
It measures 16" x 25"
The box is good with all corners intact. It has normal wear marks on the front and back and what appears to be 2 small spots and a small crease as shown in the picture below.
These do not detract from the puzzle.
All in all, it is in very good condition for a 43 year old puzzle.
This puzzle was purchased at an estate sale. It had been stored in a cedar chest in the basement.
It does have a slight musty odor which has dissipated over time. As I assembled this, the odor was not noticeable. However, it has been sealed in a zip top bag since 11/10/08 which may make the odor seem stronger when you first open the bag.
It has been worked by me and and sealed in a zip top bag upon completion.
Puzzles are not returnable. They are complete upon shipping.
Thanks for looking and happy puzzling!
