I believe that this pendant is made from polished Pewter that looks like Sterling Silver and is a figural representation of dolphins circling around the planet Earth, a beautiful blue green round stone cabochon of azurite and malachite. The added clasp on the pendant is marked 925 for Sterling, but I don't think the pendant is silver, although it has not been tested. Ken Kantro called this piece of jewelry “Earthsong”. The colors are stunning and really make the gemstone stand out. Ken Kantro’s designs are exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution and at museums and galleries throughout the world; his work is a celebration of the timeless beauty of nature’s creatures. Each of his pieces is an original design and is signed by the artist. Today he works out of his studio in Portland, Maine creating original designs in sterling, pewter & gold. The pendant measures approximately 1 1/8 inches in diameter.
It is in great used condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This would be a wonderful addition to your collection of figural jewelry. It is a lovely piece of wearable art to add to your wardrobe and the perfect unique gift for any dolphin or sea life lover.
