DELUGE by S. Fowler Wright
Cosmopolitan Books, 1928
First Edition
Condition: Good
S. Fowler Wright was sort of the British John Taine. Originally a poet, his science fiction novels of the '20s and '30s were more literary and had more imaginative scope than most of what was appearing in periodicals of the time such as Astounding Stories. Excepting THE WORLD BELOW, DELUGE is his best-known novel. It was filmed in 1933. This copy is ex-library, though it has minimal markings. Cover corner wear and some cover staining, spine tears, front hinge loosening slightly, though the binding is basically ok, and there are no gutter tears. Tanned pages and no dust jacket. A reading copy or inexpensive filler copy for a collector.
