FANCIES AND GOODNIGHTS by John Collier
Bantam Books, 1953
First Paperback Printing
Condition: About Very Good

This is one of the classic collections of short fantasy stories ever published (well, the majority are fantasy; many of the others are the sort of story Alfred Hitchcock did on his old tv series). It won the International Fantasy Award in 1952. Included are all of Collier's best-known stories -- "Evening Primrose" "Lady on the Grey", "Green Thoughts", "he Devil George and Rosie", "Thus I Refute Beelzy" --as well as many more obscure tales. 506 pages. This copy has some chipping and glue residue at the spine head, modest wear along the spine, light corner creasing and the cover is starting to pull away from the spine. Still, a decent copy of this vintage paperback.
