JONATHAN BLAIR: BOUNTY LAND LAWYER

by Willliam Donohue Ellis

The World Publishing Co., Stated First Edition, 1954

Condition: Very Good+ to Near Fine in Good dust jacket

This, the author's second novel, is the story of a two-fisted, buckskin-clad attorney who in 1820 matched wits against the cold-blooded leader of an Indian tribe and rashly defied the power and authority of the U.S. Bank, and, in a sense. also the story of an impatient man and a complex woman who were at once adversaries and lovers.  The author has flat-signed the half-title page; the original owner's name and date of  purchase are written on the opposite page.  The book has light cover corner wear, o/w minimal wear with moderately toned pages. The jacket has soiling and has some shallow chipping and very short edge tears; the front flap is clipped at the top but part of the price is still visible. This jacketed copy is rather scarce.
