THE UNMADE BED by Francoise Sagan; translated by Abigail Israel.  Illustrated by Bernard Fuchs..  Published in 1978 with 280 pages. A Limited Edition from the Franklin Library. Spine is a rich dark red color tooled leather with 22K gold  lettering and decoration.  Spine has raised bars.  22k gold gilting on all three sides or page edges.   The end pages have a Moire silk design. Has its satin ribbon which is still folded as when the book was originally sold. Includes a special message from the author and a satin bookmark. This is a new book, not previously owned.

"Françoise Sagan  21 June 1935 – 24 September 2004) – real name Françoise Quoirez – was a French playwright, novelist, and screenwriter. Hailed as "a charming little monster" by François Mauriac on the front page of Le Figaro, Sagan was known for works with strong romantic themes involving wealthy and disillusioned bourgeois characters. Her best-known novel was her first – Bonjour Tristesse (1954) – which was written when she was a teenager.In his memorial statement, the French President Jacques Chirac said: "With her death, France loses one of its most brilliant and sensitive writers – an eminent figure of our literary life."
