This is a new Peripheral Electronics MAZASX (also known as the PAC Audio AAI-MAZ) auxilliary input audio adapter for select Mazda vehicles.  If your vehicle is equipped with a factory CD changer, it will have to be disconnected to use this adapter.

From Peripheral's compatibility table, applicable vehicles include:

• 2004-2007 Mazda 3
• 2006 Mazda 5
• 2006 Mazda 6

It provides a stereo audio input (or addition of select aftermarket CD changers).  The Aux input can be used to play an iPod, MP3, DVD, Sirius/XM Radio or other music source through your car stereo. The input is clear, without the static or interference from an FM transmitter.
