These darling designer I. Miller & Sons of New York City peep toe shoes are so special. Quite unique and so hard to find this style from the 1940s. Amazing condition given the age! Sexy high heel sandal shoes with a great look. Womens size 6 narrow. They are in nice vintage condition.
High End Designer: Israel Miller, "very New York" 1940s.
Size 6 narrow. either AA or AAA (hard to read). Ellen Kate had a narrow foot. US sizing.
Cream leather with a cute black diamond front and buttons as adornment
From a smokefree house - these shoes only smell like the material they are made from! Some signs of wear on the cream exterior and bottom and inside. The interior maker label is still clear.
They are so small and cute you could almost use them as cool bookends or just have them as part of your shoe collection for display.
They are in the original box but it is in bad shape but I can make out that they were purchased in Richmond, VA at Miller and Rhodes (which is also imprinted in the sole of one shoe.
Israel Miller started his career as a designer and maker of shoes for the theatrical profession in New York. He established the I. Miller Shoe Company in NYC at 46th and Broadway in 1911 (the building is still there), which not only designed and manufactured women’s shoes, but became a leading importer of shoes with a national chain of over 200 retail stores, which were active throughout the 1920s-1960s. He involved famous architects and illustrators back in the day... Alexander Calder & Andy Warhol.
