From the Retrospect series of Midwest of Cannon falls comes this porcelain hinged box done in the form of A SUGAR DADDY. Its inventor James O. Welch Co., who sold chocolate on the streets of Cambridge, Massachusetts, originally launched Sugar Daddy in 1926. The candy was first referred to as the "Papa Sucker", but was changed to Sugar Daddy in 1925. This generous little hinged box measures ¾ inches X 4-1/2 inches x 1-1/4.
